Good Evening Everyone,

I know the site has not been super active lately. I have been gearing up for my first ever first home showing of my jewelry. The Open house was today and was a great time. Wanted to take a second and thank My Second Mom Karen for hosting. Also wanted to say “thank you” to everyone that came. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. Some Mia Bella Roba customers actually got to see their jewelry created right in front of them.  Watch the site over the next month as I try and build inventory back up. If you had your eye on an item that sold and want it made, now is the time to contact me, as I will be placing orders for material very shortly.

So I took some pictures of the beads that I made last week to show everyone some of the new techniques that we learned in class.

As you can see there was sort of a theme to the class. As I said before I will post more pictures of the beads and techniques as we learn them. If there is anything you see that you like and want to see more of, or something you would like to see used in a piece of jewelry, please let me know

Hey Everyone,

I know the site has not been super active over the last two weeks. Things will be ramping back up this week. Hopefully, in the coming weeks there will be some new and interesting designs coming your way.

Wanted to let you all know, I am now taking the “Introduction to Beadmaking” class through the Worcester Craft Center

The first class was last Monday. So I’m looking forward to seeing how my beads came out. Over the next 9 weeks I will be posting pictures of what I’ve come up with. I do have to say I’m very impressed with the facility and the Instructors. I’ll try and get pics posted either tonight or tomorrow.

Hey Everyone,

 Over the last few weeks I have been working closely with a customer on a custom piece. Everything about this piece has been customized for her. She is a huge fan of hearts so we wanted to incorporate as many hearts as possible and retain an eligant look. After figuring out exactly where we wanted the drops to fall, I went to work and below is the finished product.

Wanted to share a little something with all of you. One of my customers that bought a pair of earrings wanted to know if I could do a custom matching pendant on a bail. She wanted something that would match her new earring perfectly.

Hey Everyone,

Have you ever read a description of an item, or heard someone talking about beaded jewelry and wasn’t sure what some of the buzz words meant. I know when I first started doing this it happened to me time and time again. This is why Mia Bella Roba now has a “Glossary of Terms” page. This way you have a way to find out what all these terms mean. I will be adding to the list but for now its a heck of a start. Again, thanks to BeadMecca for the help getting started.

So today I post a question to all of you.

The question is, what would you like to see more of on Mia Bella Roba.

As a guy it’s hard to figure out what women want to see. I design from a guys perspective on what I think would look good. I’m looking for the females to step up and tell me their thoughts. I want to know my customers better and the only way to know your thoughts is to ask.

Maybe there is a piece that you like but would want setup a little different. Maybe there is a color or a stone that I have not used that you keep looking for. This is the time to let me know.
